Traditional Stained Glass Technique - Non-Traditional Outcome
Nature, humor, and a sense of wonder serve as ever-present inspiration. But maybe the greater inspiration is the medium itself. Glass challenges me to stretch what I’ve been told can and cannot be done. It challenges me to look at each piece of glass, consider the different ways it can work in combination with another color or texture to transform what a viewer will experience.
My signature work incorporates highly textured glass, art glass, and exciting color combinations in juxtaposition to a 3D build-resulting in dynamic and interactive pieces that are ever- changing with the light. These pieces do not have a front or back except as defined by the viewer since each side has a unique appearance.
The 3-D Collection is one of three. The other two - the Wishing Star Collection-a bit of whimsy and the Functional Collection incorporate highly texture and iridized glass as well as the unexpected.
